Pinterest Favourites!

Good morning!

Hope that you are all motivated and prepared for the week ahead!

I thought I would write a post to give a little bit of indulgence to one of my favourite tools – Pinterest. I love Pinterest! What’s not to love? It’s the perfect way to capture all of your mood boards, wishlists, makeup and fashion ideas and inspiration in the one place.

Colour

I have about 5 colour boards on the go, with one of my favourites being the mint colour board – featuring beautiful images themed around mint, duck egg, turqouise and Aqua!

Doors

What’s not to love about a beautiful front door? I always love to see a brightly painted door or an ornate glass window, and even pretty door knockers! They imply entrance to a place of intrigue and adventure, and some imaged I’ve found look as if the door could transport back in time!

Tea

I am throroughly British, and enjoy a good cup of tea. The finer the china, the finer the experience! I’ve got serious envy over some of these teacups and teapots – Mad Hatter eat your heart out.

Bees

As a bit of a nature nut, and a proud Manchester-dweller, I’ve taken on the bee as a sort of moniker and symbol of hard work and pride. Bee’s are beautiful and are suffused in imagery around not only Manchester, but the world around us.

Amazing Humanity

Sometimes we forget, in the midst of all the horrible things than are going on in the world, that there is some good in it, too. I created this board to remind me of that, and from time to time I do go on here and I smile and sometimes get a little teary, because Humanity can be beautiful.

I have many other boards as well, so fee free to come and check those out.

Keep up to date with my posts by following me on bloglovin, Instagram and Twitter.

Food : Propertea tearooms Manchester

Today I went out for a spot of tea and cake with a few friends to Manchester’s Propertea tearooms. Situated by the beautiful Manchester cathedral,  Propertea is a bright airy cafe,  a patchwork of reclaimed beautiful furniture, expansive white walls and filament bulbs.

It prides itself on its teas, brewed from the leaf and served with a separate empty vessel to pour out your tea to ensure that it does not overbrew past your taste.

At the counter there is a selection of cakes, behind which are the teas,  available also to buy to take away with you to brew at home.

Each table has beautiful fresh flowers,  and the cakes are served on cute blue China plates.

Have any of my Manchester based readers visited Propertea?

Lowery Hotel Spa day!

Every girl needs a day of total pampering from time to time,  when the weight of the world gets too much. My husband bought me a voucher for a luxury aromatherapy back scrub and massage from the Lowry Hotel and Spa in Manchester for Christmas,  but I managed to hold on until Easter weekend to book it.

Along with any treatment you get full access to the facilities; this includes two relaxation rooms containing loungers,  a sauna and a very powerful shower. You get access to GHD hair dryers,  luxury waffle bathrobes and complimentary slippers.  Not to mention a full variety of Jing teas alongside recent glossy magazines.

I was very look after at the spa and love going there.  I went for my Hen party last year and had two treatments –  I totally recommend the Indian Head massage.

Beforehand I treated myself to lunch and an Aperol spritz from Carluccios in spinningfields Manchester.
